The accommodation is central to the "Royal Triangle" with Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princes William and Harry; Princess Anne; Prince and Princess Michael of Kent living close by, and can often be seen shopping locally. This is an area condusive to walking, with footpaths marked throughout the area, including the Cotswold Way National Trail.
Local Area DetailsStroud's own free entry museum houses many local artefacts, icluding mammoth and dinosaur fossils extracted from the local Jurassic rock. The Orpheus Pavement replica can be seen in Prinknash Abbey, an almost intact Roman pavement which is now under ground in order to preseve its fragility. There are numerous local ornamental gardens - Rococo Gardens in Painswick, Westonbirt Arboretum, Spetchley Gardens - all within easy drives of The Yew Tree B&B
