L'Enclose is a 250 year old Perigordine farm situated in four acres of lawn and meadows overlooking the valley of the river Dropt with two stone holiday cottages and the main farmhouse lived in by the owners. During the summer the surrounding fields are cultivated with a mixture of sunflowers, maize and wheat. The views are spectacular and there are excellent walks in the vicinity. L'Enclose is between the villages of Eymet, Issigeac, Castillonnes and the town of Bergerac.
There is a beautiful large (14x9 metre) swimming pool and separate children's pool. The swimming pool is fenced for safety. A stone terrace with an outdoor eating area, stone barbeque, table tennis and swing ball. Deckchairs and sunbeds are provided. The position of the cottates are such that they each maintain privacy and independence. Enjoy the hot summer evenings relaxing around the pool, playing games and eating outside or, if your fancy takes you, take a short car ride to the many restaurants nearby which provide superb wines and delicious food to suit any pocket.

There are many places of historical interest in the area, notably fortified bastide towns built during the 100 years war during the 13th and 14th centuries. Monpazier (probably the best preserved), Beaumont, Monflanquin and Eymet are all a short drive away and well worth the visit. Cadouin Abbey is a beautiful example of medieval architecture. The nearby town of Issigeac is very picturesque with many half-timbered houses and a lively Sunday market. If you are interested in sports, there are excellent local facilities: golf at Chateau de Vigiers (25km west of Bergerac) or at Castelnaud (20km south of Castillonnes); tennis at both Castillonnes and Issigeac; canoeing at centres along the Dordogne. The cuisine of the area is justly famous.
