It is set on the slope of a hill just outside Mormoiron only a few minutes walk from the village centre, and commands extensive views of Mont ventoux and the Monts de Vaucluse. On the ground floor, the kitchen is large and extremely well equipped. There is also a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and ironing equippment. The dining room will seat ten people and has a hi-fi unit.The living room, which opens on to the terrace, has plenty of comfortable seating, satellite TV and VCR. There is a small office area which leads onto a double bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower, wash basin and WC.
There is a second shower room with wash basin and WC off the entrance hall.
The upper floor has a large bright landing with fitted cupboards, a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes,two large twin bedrooms and two bathrooms - one with bath, shower, washbasin and WC and the other with shower, wash basin and WC.
All four bedrooms look out over the garden and have views across to the hills. The garden is enclosed and there is parking for several cars. The house is centrally heated and suitable for rental at anytime of year

Local Area Details

Mormoiron is about 15 minutes drive east of Carpentras and is set amongst vineyards and cherry orchards. The village has all the necessary shops and services, aswell as a café, two restaurants and a pizzeria. Outside the village is a picturesque lake with a safe bathing area, sandy beaches and a pleasant restaurant. Near the lake is a forest adventure trail for the more intrepid. The area is perfect for walking and cycling and is only a few minutes drive from Mont Ventoux, famous for the part it often plays in the Tour de France cycle race.
Avignon, Vaison la Romaine and Orange are within easy driving distance, also Gordes, Roussillon and the Luberon National Park. The beautiful lavender fields of Sault are 30 minutes drive away and can be accessed not only by an attractive fast road, but also through the spectacular Gorges de La Nesque. There are numerous well preserved old villages to discover in Vaucluse. Good restaurants are in abundance aswell as a multitude of wine
domaines for tasting and buying the excellent wines of Ventoux and Côtes du Rhone. There are two golf courses in the vicinity and opportunites for pony riding, canoing, escalade and other sports.
