Located near the beautiful beaches of Prince Edward Island's north shore and in the heart of Anne of Green Gables country, this secluded cottage is the ideal location for a family vacation. Only the cottage and a victorian farm house occupied in the summer by a retired couple are on this three acre wooded site located amid farm fields far enough from the road to eliminate any traffic noise. This also means children can run and play in the yard without fear them running in the street. The bedrooms and bath (tub and shower)are upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has twins, and the third a double. There is satellite TV. The back door opens to a spacious deck, which has what one guest called "a million dollar view" across the farm fields and down the hill into the community of Long River. The cottage has a large living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs, along with a utility room with washer and dryer. Kitchen utensils and linens are furnished. No dish washer or telephone, but cell phones usually work on the island.

Local Area Details

A beautiful beach is a five minute drive, with another five to the Anne of Green Gables Museum. Restaurants and shopping are ten minutes away in Kensington. Golf and all kinds of family entertainment and water sports are within a half hour at Cavendish. The cottage is 45 minutes from Charlottetown, twenty minutes from Summerside, which has a movie theater and plenty of shopping opportunities. Chrissydale is located in the most beautiful part of the island, with rolling hills, forests and farm lands reminiscent of Ireland.
