Property Details
This semi-detached cottage, dating back some 250 years, is built of stone, with thick exterior walls and pan tile roof traditional in this area. Parking for up to two cars is next to the cottage, there is a small private garden with ornamental pond, some steps are to climb but a level entrance is available, although slightly longer to walk. From the cottage there are good views to the south and east across farmland.
The sitting room has a colour TV. Electric storage radiators provide heating for the cooler days (this cost is included in the letting price), plus electric fire for additional heating. Of the three bedrooms, two have a double bed; the middle bedroom has two single beds. A cot, high chair and baby bath are available on request. Bed-sheets are provided, but not towels.
Local Area DetailsThis working family farm is non-intensive. We run a small beef suckler herd, we are situated in the clean air of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park in a rural setting. Within three miles of us are safe sands and quaint harbours sheltering local fishing cobles. Whitby is nine miles via the coastal road (A174). The slightly longer moor road (A171) competes by providing a superb view of the coast.
