Property Details
The apartments nestle in the village of Trevelez, the highest village in Spain. The owners live on site, so are on hand to give any information required and are also able to provide guided walks. They are self catering and all have wood burning stoves. The accommodation comprises of 2 bedrooms, lounge/kitchenette, bathroom and all linen and towels are provided. They all have a wonderful view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The area is a haven for walkers, birders, and all lovers of the great outdoors. The village itself has 18 bars and restaurants all very reasonably priced and they all sell the famous Serrano Ham.
Local Area DetailsThe GR7 goes through the village and numerous walks start and finish here. There is also horse riding from the village into the mountains. The city of Granada is 1 1/2 hours drive with the famous Alhambra palace. The Ski Resort is approx 2 hours drive. This area was made famous by Chris Stewart and his book Driving over Lemons. There are many tiny whitewashed villages all worth taking your time over, either a short drive or walk away. The book South from Granada by Gerald Brennan was written whilst in the village of Yegen, his house is still there!
