Welcome to No 2 Rue de Chandelais situated in the charming village of Le Guedeniau, in the heart of the Loire Valley. If you like the peace and quiet, the nearby Chandelais forest is perfect for walks, cycling, even horseriding, with the great cities of Angers and Saumur nearby for those that want a bit of shopping! With a wealth of chateaux and vineyards all around this beautiful region you won’t find a better holiday destination.

'The Little Blue House' is furnished to a very high standard. You need only bring your personal items. All bed linen & towels are provided. Due to last year's hot summer we have also now added a plunge pool in the garden.

There is a television and video player, stereo (plays CDs and tapes), books and games available for your use.

You will find tea, coffee, sugar and milk, as well as red and white wine. Please accept these with our compliments, and if you wish to buy additional wine during your stay, you can do so from the wine rack in the kitchen.

You can arrive at the house from 1pm. Please let us know if you will be arriving later than that so we can make alternative arrangements for you to collect the keys.

A deposit of 100 Euros is payable on arrival. This is refundable when you return the keys. Any breakages together with books or wine bought from the rack will be deducted from this deposit.

The Little Blue House

This property will sleep 2-4 adults and up to 3 children very comfortably.

There is a large double bedroom/family room on the first floor, as well as a very comfortable sofa bed in the large lounge. If used, this makes a totally self contained bedroom, and the guests in that room can remain totally private and undisturbed if those using the upstairs bedroom prefer to rise, or retire at different times.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern facilities, such as an electric cooker, microwave oven, diswasher, fridge etc and there is a freezer and washing machine available.

Meals can be enjoyed in the kitchen or conservatory, or indeed outside in the garden, where you will find garden furniture and full barbecue facilities.

Local Area Details

Vallee des Rois - Valley of the Kings is famed for its chateaux. King Henry II of England was also the Count of Anjou, a powerful ruler with many possessions in France. His seat was at Chinon and he is buried, together with his Queen, Eleanor of Aqu

· Bauge is the nearest town and boasts its own chateau. It is a busy town where you can find plenty of little shops for all your needs as well as a large supermarket.

· For those who prefer country pursuits there is an excellent golf course at Bauge offering a good round of golf at very competitive rates. You can explore the nearby Chandelais forest on foot or bicycle if you prefer. Bicycles can be hired in Bauge.

· If it is hot and you fancy a swim you might like to take a picnic to nearby lakes at Fontaine Guerin or Mouliherne.

· As you might imagine there are plenty of vineyards to visit and restaurants where you can enjoy very reasonably priced and delicious food. You will find numerous restaurants in nearby Saumur, which is definitely worth a visit.
