Finca Fenix is situated on the outskirts of the beautiful white village of Alora, close to El Chorro and the Ardales lakes.

This secluded charming rural finca offers complete pivacy, tranquillity and it is only a stones throw away from all amenities. If you are looking for a traditional country property with all modern features this could be for you.

The perfect place for you to enjoy the culture and environment of true Andalucia, yet it is only 35 minutes from the coast.

HOUSE, GARDEN AND FACILITIES
Finca Fenix is a charming self-contained ground floor apartment in a converted Andalucian farmhouse that comfortably sleeps 4 people.

Accommodation comprises two bedrooms, both with en-suite toilet and shower. A welcoming lounge/dining room leads to a modern kitchen. Use of a washing machine is available if required.

A swimming pool (4m x 6m), which is shared with owners awaits outside set amongst a large sub-tropical terraced garden complete with pergolas, ponds and a fountain.

The apartment has its own private shady terrace complete with built in BBQ should out door cooking take your fancy

The apartment has its own private entrance just 20 metres from your parking spaces giving you the freedom to come and go as you please.

Inside - The apartment provides a blend of traditional and tropical colours, Indonesian wood furniture, comfy sofas, Egyptian cotton bed linen and Andalucian earthenware. Air conditioning, TV, video, DVD player and stereo are provided for your enjoyment. There is an extensive library of books, videos and DVD’s, which you are welcome to borrow - you won’t have to roam far if you are looking to chill out in comfort!

Outside - Finca Fenix is a peaceful tropical retreat, with the garden evolving around mature trees, including fig, citrus and palms. The courtyard adjacent to your apartment is a lush sub-tropical oasis, always green and often flowering, overall a peaceful place to immerse yourself. The climate here is generous, allowing the flowers and bushes to bloom extensively all year round. As the annual temperature averages 18ºc and can reach 40ºc in the summer months, the ponds provide a welcome cooling effect complemented by the relaxing sound of water features trickling away in the background.

The garden is spread over many levels with stacks of space on the terraces for sunbathing and relaxing. The sun beds are comfy, funky retro and all the other garden furniture is as you would hope – not an economy plastic chair in sight!

The gardens are shared with our assortment of friendly but nosy peacocks and chickens (no roosters by the way!).

Services and local facilities - A welcome pack is provided, ensuring that on arrival you can settle in, chill out with a drink and have something to eat, without having to worry about dashing off to the shops.

The apartment is equipped with TV, video and DVD player. You can borrow from an extensive library of DVD’s and videos – all free of charge against a small security deposit.

There is a stereo system – please bring your own CD’s

There is a wide-ranging selection of books to relax with, which you are welcome to exchange with any of your own.

A change of bedding and towels is provided each week. If you prefer to have your linen changed more frequently, we are happy to offer this service for a small additional fee. You also have the use of a washing machine should you require it.

A car is essential to appreciate all that the area has to offer, although the local train station is not far and links Ã?lora to the transport hub in Malaga.

A very large and reasonably priced supermarket is a 2-minute drive away, where you may select from an extremely large and varied selection of fresh and frozen produce. It is open from 9am – 9pm Monday to Saturday. Or should you prefer a more native way to gather your provisions there are a multitude of local shops in the town, with a small Monday market in the lower town square.

Ã?LORA
Set in a beautiful valley with a Moorish castle perched upon one of the peaks, the ancient town of Ã?lora is just 40km northwest of Malaga, surrounded by mountains, citrus orchards, olive and almond groves. This stunning and sweet smelling vista provides fantastic views, which change constantly with the seasons. It is not uncommon to see locals picking wild cactus fruit in summer, an activity that changes to walking the hills to pick wild asparagus in the winter.

Whilst close enough to the coast to make the tourist amenities accessible, �lora is far enough away to retain typical Andalucian charm. There is a swift, clean and inexpensive train linking �lora to Malaga and the coast but to enjoy all that Andalucia has to offer a car is essential. It is approximately 40 minutes drive from Malaga airport and 30 minutes to Malaga city centre, with its magnificent cathedral, ancient café-lined streets, bustling nightlife and interesting shopping.
