Local Area Details

The gastronomic village of Benahavis is a five minute walk from the apartment, Moorish in style with cobbled streets, twenty five or so restaurants,banks,shops,art galleries and pretty houses with small gardens and fountains dotted about makes it one of the top white washed villages for tourists to visit.The feria, lasting four days, takes place mid August and is similar to a giant street party with live music and dancing every evening until very late and fun and games for the children during the day.The Romeria, a procession,mass and then a party takes place in October. A fifteen minute drive from the apartment will take you to Puerto Banus where you can shop till you drop at a vast range of designer and other shops or the enormous El Corte Ingles superstore when you are ready to drop there is every type of restaurant and themed bar you can imagine to relax in afterwards you might fancy a stroll around the marina to look at the yachts of the rich and famous moored there. All the golden beaches,beach bars and restaurants,golf courses,water sports,theme and safari park,the Internacional town of Marbella,the beach resort town of Estepona and the local working town of San Pedro de Alcantara are all nearby. Further afield there is tax free shopping,sea trips to view the dolphins,deep sea fishing and lots of other attractions at Gibraltar alternatively plenty of other white villages to visit,old towns like Ronda or Granada with the Alambra palace for you to explore.
