Harbour Lights is a spectacular holiday home. It enjoys a superb position overlooking Pittenweem harbour with views directly over the sea. This Grade B listed property holds a STB 4 star grading.
‘Harbour Lights’ aptly named because it directly overlooks the lights strategically placed in the Firth of Forth near the breakwater to help the boats come back safely into the harbour at night.
Pittenweem was first mentioned as a port in 1228. The outer pier is the oldest, first built in stone around the mid-16th century, the middle pier was built in 1771 by Sir John Anstruther, and the west pier was added when the fishing industry was booming in the 19th century.
Harbour Lights, with its wonderful unrestricted sea views, has been newly renovated and refurbished to the highest standard.
There are large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The lounge has spectacular sea views looking onto the harbour and beyond to the Bass Rock
The new fully fitted kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/ tumble drier and again has generous granite preparation areas and storage.
The master bedroom with king-size bed and new fitted wardrobes has the benefit of new en-suite facilities including a large luxury shower. Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room that overlooks the harbour and has excellent sea views.
However the new bedroom 3 on the second floor is our favourite room. This twin-bedded room has stunning sea views in every direction from its cosy ‘escape’ situated at the front of the bedroom. From your comfortable and calm seat you will be able to look down on the bustle of the harbour and wonder at the beauty of the sea and its waves as they stretch out and crash below you. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!
The new large family bathroom is next to bedroom 3. There is new central heating throughout the property. There is also a large garden and courtyard/patio complete with garden furniture and a barbecue allowing you to make the most of those long and sunny evenings.

The East Neuk of Fife in Scotland is family friendly with award winning sandy beaches, the Fife coastal path, the Millenium cycle way, water sports and many other activities.
This area is superb for golfers as there are many famous golf courses around St Andrews (the home of Golf) including challenging golf courses at Kingsbarns, Elie and Crail, and then there is the Old Course Course itself!
The East Neuk is a real hotspot for arts, crafts, and antiques. There are also a wonderful selection of high quality restaurants and quaint pubs.
We would recommend exploring The Scottish Deer Centre, St Andrews Castle and Cathedral, The British Golf Museum at St Andrews, The Scottish Fisheries Museum at Anstruther, The Crail Heritage Museum, The Fife Folk Museum, The Secret Bunker near Crail, Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle and Gardens, and Craigtoun Country Park.
Visit across the Forth Bridges to see a range of sights such as Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Dynamic Earth and the Royal Yacht Britannia, or just to spend time at the Edinburgh International Festival and explore the shops around Princes Street.
