La Casita is a very pretty country cottage set in a stunning valley below the the white village of casares. The cottage has a double bedroom with four poster bed and fitted wardrobes, living room with open fire, TV/Video and some satelith channels, full bethroom, kitchen with double hob, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle and all the usual utensils. There is a terrace with dining table and seating for four people. The location is very quiet and tranquil, La Casita is in the grounds of a former water mill, streams and a river run through the grounds and there is a fish pond with ducks, carp and terapins. Peacocks roam freely around the gardens. There is use of the swimming pool (very unlikely anyone else will be using it) bar-b-q area and shaded dining area next to the pool. Also onsight is a tennis court, games room with table tennis and table football and the opportunity for horse riding.

Local Area Details

Casares is a traditional 'white village' it is also called a 'hanging village' because the houses are built down the side of the mountain. At the top of the village is the ruin of a moorish castle, sit at one of the ventas (bar/restaurant) and watch the eagles and vultures whilst enjoying the view of Gibraltar and the coast of Africa. Casares has a small weekly market, some restaurants and bars. Approx 15 mins drive is La Duquesa Golf course and within easy reach are the golf courses of Valderama, San Roque and Estepona. Estepona town is 20 mins away, in Estepona Port there are many bars and restaurants, sailing and fishing trips, other similar ports close by are Duquesa and Sotogrande. Marbella and Puerto Banus are approx 40 mins away. La Casita is located directly on a walkers route, you can enjoy fantastic, scenic walks up to the village or down to the roman baths at Manilva where you will see rock pools, water falls and of course the famous salt baths. During you walk you may see Ibix, otters, eagles, kingfishers, mongoose etc. We are only 20 mins from the Santa Maria Polo fields at Sotogrande where you can go to enjoy a match or even have lessons (please mention when you book if you are interested in Polo).
