Why stay in a small hotel room with no view or amenities, in a noisy area of town when you can have your own loft in an ideal location of town for about the same price. Just minutes to everything you want to do in Banff, Canmore and surrounding area.
The featured unit was furnished with comfort and that rugged mountain feeling in mind. The pine trim, heated slate floor, soft rugs, and river rock fire place, are a perfect accent to the majestic views.
Both bedrooms feature queen size beds (the leather sofa pictured above pulls out to a queen size bed as well). The loft bedroom also features its own vanity and extra large soaker tub.
There is also a full kitchen (including dish washer) in the unit along with a BBQ on the balcony.
The family room has a 43" HDTV connected to cable TV. It also has a DVD player (there are some DVD movies too). There is also a Microsoft XBox (with some popular games to play). Also in the room are a number of books about the area (hiking trails, wildlife, etc.).
Canmore Crossing (CC) is located between the quaint downtown Main Street and Bow Valley Trail it couldn´t be more in the centre of things. Main Street is picturesque, mountains looming in the background with local restaurants, shops and recreation stores to explore. Bow Valley Trail runs parallel to the Trans-Canada Highway; as such it has fast food restaurants, convenience stores, hotels/motels and gas stations.
The units encircle a European style marketplace of boutiques, restaurants and recreation activities. Food, liquor store, fitness area, are all onsite.
From the heated underground parking, through the on site security, up to the mountain view hot tub on the roof there is a modern feel in a classic mountain setting.
Local Area DetailsLocated in the heart of the town of Canmore, one of Canada's best year round playgrounds. Nestled in the Southern Canadian Rockies, minutes from Banff National Park, Kananaskis Country (Bow Valley Provincial Park, Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park), and the new Bow Valley Protected Area.
Within minutes you can be out the door and enjoying nature or sitting on the patio of one of Alberta's best restaurants.
For someone looking for outdoor activities, clean mountain air, relaxation and some of the world's best scenery this area has it all.
Most of the activities here tend to involve being outdoors and it is easier to see and do things if you have access to a car, or sign up with one of the many local area tour operaters.... the mountain areas are a very outdoor oriented area - there are very good restaurants, a few museums, galleries, and clubs to poke around in, but the majority of 'stuff to do' involves some sort of physical activity or driving somewhere to look at something. If you are hoping for a metropolitan experience this isn't the place. The 5 million people going through the area every year mainly come here for site seeing and outdoor recreation.
Summer is high tourist season, with winter a very close second. In the spring or fall, there are not as many tourists and there is usually good weather and still lots to do. However, the arts & entertainment possibilities do slow down during off peak seasons. If these activities are important anyone going there should check out the calendars offered on the Internet.
