Luxury Holiday Lodge situated on a picturesque lakeside development at South Lakeland Leisure Village, near Carnforth, conveniently situated approximately one mile from Junction 35 of the M6.
The accommodation consists of 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and 1 twin bedroom, both with ample wardrobe and drawer space, separate bathroom, large living area with feature fireplace and electric fire, dining area and fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher.
The large veranda has a wooden patio table and 4 chairs.
The entertainment centre in the lounge includes TV with video, Freeview, DVD player, CD audio system with radio, local interest books, maps and novels, board and card games.

The on-site Waters Edge Restaurant serves excellent Continental and English cuisine. Less formal bar meals are available throughout the day.
An excellent, modern leisure centre with indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, large gym, beauty therapy suite and aerobics room is available. Temporary membership is available at discounted rates for family groups.There is a small beach by the lake for young children and a large, grassed picnic/play area.
Non motorised water activities are allowed on the lake.

Local Area Details

South Lakeland Leisure Village is ideally situated 5 minutes from the M6 motorway yet is within easy access of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lancashire Coastal Plain. This is a splendid place from which to go exploring and then return home for a relaxing evening in, or perhaps to sample the on site bar and restaurant.
The Lake District is a hive of activity all year round offering outdoor enthusiasts spectacular scenery whether from lakeside or from the high fells. Your lodge is about 30 minutes from both Kendal or Windermere - Ambleside and Hawkeshead are just a little further. All have much to offer, from museums, cultural history and lake cruises to excellent shopping and many fine restaurants.
The nearby Yorkshire Dales with their outstanding natural beauty can be accessed through the famous and spectacular Trough of Bowland. Scenic drives will bring you to historic castles, ruined abbeys or stately homes and gardens. Walkers are spoilt for choice. Easy riverside strolls to full day treks along the Pennine Way are available to suit all ages and ability ranges.
Closer to home it is said that there is a different walk for every day of the year from Silverdale alone. Leighton Moss RSPB nature reserve has activities and events throughout the year and is a tourist attraction not to be missed. Carnforth railway station, famous for the film 'Brief Encounter', and now restored, has an interesting heritage centre. Morecambe and its Bay and the historic city of Lancaster are 'just down the road.'
