Dimpleknowe Cottage is a modern, well-equipped, detached bungalow, which is beautifully situated on a small country estate in the heart of the Scottish Borders. All facilities within the cottage are on the ground floor, and there is full central heating throughout. Unrestricted and interesting walks can be taken in the surrounding woodlands, as well as on the estates informal 9 hole golf course. The cottage has stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as it's own enclosed garden, which contains a selection of garden furniture. There is also ample car parking space within the grounds of the cottage. The cottage is let on a self-catering basis.

Local Area Details

Nature lovers will enjoy the varied range of birds and wildlife which can be seen both in the garden and throughout the surrounding countryside. During the day, Pheasants are regular visitors and Buzzards can be seen circling in the air. At night, Badgers, Foxes and Deer can often be seen enjoying their natural habitat.

Golfers can benefit from reduced rates on our course, and we also offer stabling for horses, as well as freely available access to drove roads and riding tracks. There are numerous local lochs and rivers offering excellent fishing. The Scottish Borders are steeped in history and there are castles and houses, museums, parks and leisure facilities to suit everyones tastes. During the summer months there are local festivals and common ridings which offer pipe band performances, sports days and horse ride-outs. In addition to the attractions within the Borders, we are also just over 1 hours drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle, which both offer great shopping and lots of other attractions.

There are a large variety of shops ranging from small local traders to large supermarkets within the local vicinity. There are 3 small country pubs nearby which serve a variety of good food and drinks.
