Located on hole 7 of Islantilla Golf Course (27 holes), within walking distance of the Hotel and Golf Club with: bars, restaurant, proshop, dressing room, sauna, swimming-pool and the possibility to hire carts and clubs. Thanks to the high quality of its facilities and its permanent Golf school, the golf course of Islantilla is currently the winter headquarters of the Swede PGA, and is the host to renowned competitions such as the Spanish PGA, the Challenge Tour and the Open of Andalusia. The location only 20 km from the border with Portugal and 100 km from Faro airport make it easily accessible from the UK.

Hoyo 7 is also only 700 meters from the nearest beach and the Atlantic Ocean a popular area for water sports. The Sea front is also home to commercial centre with shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Another commercial centre is located on the Golf Course within close proximity to Hoyo 7.

Costa de la Luz, the Coast of Light, is a unique and beautiful area of Spain. It is largely untouched and has been spared the mass tourist exploitation that many other coasts of Spain have suffered. This stretch of coast has seen relatively little development, with tourism consisting of a few small resorts lazily evolving around former fishing villages and the most glorious stretches of sand. Beaches tend to be long and wide, with fine golden sand. Tourists come to the small seaside towns mainly from Huelva and Seville. There are very few foreigners here so it’s a great opportunity to discover the 'real Spain'.
The fine, white sands of Islantilla Beach stretch for over 2km, making it one of the most stunning beaches on the Costa de la Luz. The natural dunes and maritime promenade separate the beach from the few, stylish hotels located on the seafront.
The neighbouring fishing village of La Antilla has a good selection of traditional bars and restaurants where you can sample the day's freshly caught shellfish.
Islantilla is also an ecological reserve area near the Natural Park of DOÑANA and with its cornice towards the Atlantic Ocean and Africa, it's a place where migrating birds pass. The great variety of flora and fauna and the marshy region provide a very attractive environment.
Nearby is Lepe a small market town famous as the strawberry capital of Spain it has a few interesting features and a pleasant central square. The border town of Ayamonte is only a short drive away and is a popular place to visit with its Andalusian architecture, marina and pretty squares. It has a good selection of bars and restaurants offering a variety of traditional cuisine including tapas. The city of Huelva, also only a short drive away, dates back 3000 years and three of the key sites of the Columbus story can be found here.
The mountain region of Sierra de Aracena dotted with small villages clinging to the slopes of the plunging mountain valleys, was settled in ancient times by the Phoenicians and Romans, who mined its copper, silver and iron, and the open-faced mines of Rio Tinto are still one of the region’s major resources and a popular place to visit.
