Local Area Details

The villa is situated in Sabina, an interesting area not far from Rome. In fact Rome can be easily reached taking a metropolitan train. So you can visit Rome, but also enjoy the clean and relaxing area of the environment around the villa. There are a lot of fields and trees, gentle hills and mountains. Many are the small villages you can visit around: they are hilltop and dating back to the Middle Ages: Farfa Abbey is only ten Km far and there are also many Franciscan monuments.10 Km from the villa the Tiber runs and you can go to visit the Natural reserve of Tevere-Farfa, a place where you can do bird-watching, jogging or simply relax in the sun. The town is 10 minutes walk and expecially in the summer many are the evenings markets with exhibition of local products or with bands or clowns playing in the splendid "piazza" of the town.
