Property Details
La Frapperie is set in a rural hamlet in the heart of the attractive countryside of the "Bocage Vendeen". It offers three delightful cottages, each having a spacious character interior, with restored beams and stonework and comfortable furnishings. The cottages have individual terraces and lawns to the rear, whilst the front leads to the large heated pool (12m x 6m). The pool is fully fenced, has two sets of wide steps (great for toddlers) and has a toilet/shower block. The nearby village of Beaurepaire (one and a half miles) offers a shop and bar and the attractive market town of Les Herbiers (3 miles) provides an excellent range of shops and restaurants. The surrounding area has a wealth of interesting sites and holiday activities, including the fabulous history theme park "Le Puy du Fou". There is also a recreational lake at La Tricherie (12 miles) with a small beach, pedalos & mini-golf. The lovely beaches and ports of the Vendee coast are easily accessible for day trips (54 miles).

Spacious cottage offering comfortable accommodation for 8 to 9 people. The lovely character interior features exposed beams and stonework. It has its own attractive terrace and lawn garden and shares the large pool with the two other cottages.

Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, TV (French channels), terrace with garden dining furniture, bbq, lawn garden, separate parking. Electric heating and log fire. Sheets and towels included.

Local Area DetailsNearest coast - St Jean de Monts, Les Sables d'Olonne, La Tranche sur Mer are all roughly the same distance (around 50 miles).
Restaurants - Les Herbiers (3 miles) offers a good choice of restaurants.
Places to visit - The "Blue Beard" Chateau at Tiffauges (17km) offers numerous displays and festivities throughout the season, try your hand at archery, watch the medieval warfair displays - Model village at Tiffauges (17km) - great for children - Museum of horse-drawn carriages, Les Epesses (16km) - Steam train rides, from Les Herbiers to Mortagne sur Sèvre - History theme park of "Le Puy du Fou" (13km), medieval village, Roman amphitheatre (chariot races and gladiators), falconry displays, nightime son-et-lumière spectacle and lots more - not to be missed..
