It's best to discover the charms of Aunt Phoebe's old time log cabin. Enough to say that every detail has be attended. We hope these things for guests: A clearer sense of yesteryear, a loosening of the power of the present day, and some understanding of who was old Aunt Phoebe and why folks called her cabin "Aunt Phoebe's Perch."

Two queen beds in the sleeping loft, from where you will find a superb vista, and a concealed chemical toilet for nighttime use. Outside a wooden porch wraps around two sides allowing for genteel outdoor relaxing and a magnificent view of the river valley. Inside, some innovative things make the atmosphere solidly old time, but without every dab of the inconvenience. Cooking and heating are from LP gas. Water is delivered by gravity from an uphill water house. Light is by oil lamps or electric lanterns. Farther away from the cabin you will find the obligatory privy, a relaxing fire pit (wood provided), even a corral for horses.  Trail to the river through the woods.
