Property Details

Access to the Ocean Park complex is via a barrier-protected lane just off the main road. The apartment is about 20m down the lane at pool-level. All the shops, restaurants and bars that you could possibly need are within a very short distance of the complex. The complex also boasts two excellent pools; one facing the bar on Phase I and the other facing the apartment on Phase II. The pools have separate children's areas and there are ample sunbeds round each pool.

The terrace at the front of the apartment has a secure gate and 6 steps that lead up from the pool area. A matching wrought iron guard-rail runs alongside the steps. The terrace itself is partly shaded by a tree and is a nice place to sit when the sun gets too much. It has an excellent view of the pool so the kids can play in the water while mum and dad keep a watchful eye on them. The terrace is furnished with a table, chairs and parasol. A gate that complements all the other ironwork secures the front of the apartment.

The apartment is tastefully furnished and has every convenience. The timber French doors at the front can be fully opened to provide an open-air feeling. The lounge has a double sofa-bed and a single chair, along with a display unit and matching coffee table. There is also a TV, DVD player, hi-fi, lamps and tower fan. The display unit has cupboards and drawers for extra storage space. There is currently no satellite TV to the complex but DVDs can be hired from the Admiral Bar.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave, hob and full oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, toasted sandwich maker and ample cutlery and crockery for 4 people. There are plenty of cleaning materials and even an iron and ironing board. The kitchen also includes a breakfast bar with wooden bar stools. The kitchen, though perfectly serviceable, is planned for replacement in the near future.

The fully-tiled bathroom has a full sized bath with an overhead shower and, of course, the toilet and wash basin. The bathroom has just been completely refurbished (02/11/2004).

The bedroom has two single beds with nice bright covers. There is plenty of hanging space in the built-in wardrobes, along with drawers and shelves. There is also a sideboard that has additional cupboards and drawers, and a wall mirror. Lamps, a tower fan and a hairdryer complete the bedroom furnishings. A safe has been fitted which is free for our guests to use. There are double doors at the end of the bedroom, which lead onto the rear terrace.

This terrace is accessible from the lane that runs along the side of the complex, and provides wheelchair access. The doors can only be opened from inside so making the apartment nice and secure.

Local Area Details

There is a launderette on-site (in Phase 1) and a supermarket adjoining the complex. The Admiral bar, run by Denise and Dave, is on-site and serves good food at reasonable prices. The bar is also the place to go to rent DVDs and it even has a lending library! The many bars and restaurants of Torviscas are within a very short walk of the apartment and the San Eugenio Shopping Centre is about 250m along the main road. This has all kinds of shops and a huge underground supermarket. Head towards the beach (about 5 minutes) and you can enjoy the sunset while you eat your evening meal in one of the many restaurants overlooking the beach. If you fancy going further afield, buses and taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced; for instance, a bus to Los Cristianos is about 1.5 euros each. A taxi will be more economical if there are more than two of you.
