Your perfect vacation begins with this outstanding Palm Springs Home for Rent. Your world slips away when you retreat to the back yard of this tropical oasis right in the Historic "Movie Colony" District of Palm Springs. Tropical plants and manicured gardens provide a relaxing sense of peace. The indoors are covered with hard wood floors and paver tiles making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Relax in front of one of two fire places at night when it gets crisp during the winter. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are heated when mother nature is not heating. Plenty of lawn and out door dining furniture, a gas barbeque and an outdoor fire pit are there to help make the evening a true delight. Wake up in the morning and pick fresh oranges, grapefruits, figs, peaches and persimmons depending on the season. The separate guest quarters can hold an extra four people, giving a couple of teenagers a feeling of independence. All this only two blocks from Palm Canyon Drive, filled with shopping and great restaurants. In the evenings you can walk to the Spa Casino located only ten blocks away. For Golfers, the entire area is a paradise with more golf courses then you can play at in one life time. If night time tennis playing is your thing extraordinary lighted tennis courts are across the street and are open to the public. Four bedrooms and three baths allow the main house to comfortably sleep eight. The separate guest house has two rooms plus a bathroom and kitchenette. One queen and two single beds in the guesthouse bring the total accommodations to twelve. Stereo with CD player, T.V. and DVD in the living room. Each bedroom has color cable T.V.,and a some have VCR's. Tasteful furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen to help make the family reunion a great event. Well behaved pets are welcome, property is fully enclosed so they can run around and enjoy with you. Smokers are welcome on the patio.

ABOUT THE AREA: The "Movie Colony" is where the great old stars of yesteryear used to play. Neighbor homes include estates once owned by Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, George Patton, Bob Hope and the ever popular Tammy Faye! (Nobody famous lived here!) Over the top estates surround this neighborhood with large gated driveways and fifty foot high palm trees, and giant ficuses. One block away is child-friendly Ruth Hardy Park, with jogging track, play ground and tennis courts. Short walk to synagogue and churches, restaurants and world class shopping.
