Local Area Details “Caroma�, is situated about 1 Km to the west of the village of Mijas, a 10 minute (uphill) walk, or 5 minutes by car. It adjoins private residential areas - “Urbanisation. Mijas la Nueva� and “Ranch de la Luz� - forming a mature and well-wooded community of individually designed, small, Spanish-rustic-style villas, owned mainly by English-speaking people.
MIJAS is one of Spain’s best known “white villages�, and was once voted “the most beautiful village in Andalucia�. Set on the side of the Sierra de Mijas, about 430m above sea level, it looks out over the coast, the mountains, and the white-painted villas which characterise this area. The village is a maze of narrow streets, cafes, and white painted cottages, which, together with gardens, churches, and civic buildings, jostle for position on the hillside.Among the many benefits of the Costa’s position as Europe’s premier resort area, is the quality and the huge range of restaurants, bars, beaches, and leisure facilities available in the area.
