Exclusive to Open Holidays. The Pinos Altos is set in a particularly quiet and pretty position towards the rear of the resort and surrounded by the tall pines from which it takes its name. Just a short walk from the beach and resort centre, and with a bus stop along the road, it is an excellent choice for families with young children. The welcoming reception area has comfortable sofas and is hung with the owner's private collection of paintings. Upstairs a pleasant lounge overlooks the entrance below. The sunbathing area, reached by stairs from the reception, was also completely remodelled, and features a large pool with roman steps at each end, a separate children's splash pool and a shelving ramp for easy access. There are three types of apartments in two buildings. The pool building houses the four Type C two bedroom apartments, two of which have balconies or terrace on the pool side. All other apartments are situated in the main building, and all have furnished balconies or terraces overlooking the pool. Extra beds in each type of apartment are provided by a sofabed in the lounge, which is only suitable for children under 16 years of age. As we have the whole building, we can reserve specific apartments by name (see floor plans). All apartments have a comfortable lounge/dining room with satellite TV, and integral kitchens with microwave, fridge and hob. Guests also have use of communal washing machines and public telephone on the ground floor plus children's games room.

Local Area Details

Cala San Vicente cleverly retains its position as one of the most popular resorts on the island without spoiling the essential simplicity of its original intrinsic charm. Separated from Puerto Pollensa by the distinctive `Cavall Bernat' mountain, much loved by artists, it nestles at the foot of a beautiful pine clad valley which leads down to two secluded sandy coves surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. Although all this may paint the picture of complete isolation, a five minute drive takes you out of the valley to Puerto Pollensa in one direction, and the beautiful, historic Old Town of Pollensa in the other.
