Chalet la Vardaf is a cosy, welcoming home from home with excellent views of the Dranse Valley. The Chalet is in the heart of the legendary Portes du Soleil Ski area, which offers over 650km of easily accessible skiing and winter sports. During the summer there are many activities to take part in, or perhaps you would prefer to just enjoy the fantastic scenery. La Vardaf is split into three individual apartments each with its own entrance and parking available on site. Details given are for the largest, middle floor apartment. All accommodation is spacious,airy and comfortable. Situated in a residential part of town, convenient for access to everything you will need for a great holiday without the noise or bustle directly on your doorstep. Less than five minutes' walk into the hamlet of Montriond you will find two local restaurants, a pizzeria, bakers and general store. Whilst a fifteen minute stroll in the other direction to Morzine provides a wealth of restaurants and bistros to suit every taste and pocket. Suitable for two families or a group of friends.

Local Area Details

Nestling in a large vale which stretches out to the Swiss border, half way between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, Morzine displays the rich character of a typical mountain village. There is more Skiing around Montriond & Morzine than you can possibly Ski in a week. There are five nearby access points up into the mountains where you can suitable skiing for everybody. There are also many other activities to take advantage of, such as: Skidoos, Snow Shoe Trekking, Cross Country Skiing,Accompanied paragliding flights, Weekly Ice Hockey Matches, Sports Centre with Gymnasium, Climbing Wall, Sauna & Jacuzzi. For the very adventurous – scuba diving under the ice of Montriond’s frozen lake.
We can organise childcare, ski lessons, transfers should this be required.

The Alps in the summer are also truly beautiful, fantastic scenery, clean air and plenty of activities if you feel up to it. La Vardaf is on the sunny side of the valley, which means that at the end of the day, you can watch the sun go down from the front balcony and deer can often be seen grazing at the rear of the Chalet at the edge of the forest clearing.
There are many places to visit within easy reach of La Vardaf. Lake Geneva has beaches and lots of water-based activities for all ages. Evian is a pleasurable trip for the whole family; right on Lake Geneva it boasts trips around the lake, a casino, local markets and much more.
For those adrenalin junkies the list of activities is endless - mountain biking, white water rafting, kayaking, canyoning, hot air ballooning to name just a few. All in all you can’t fail to find something to provide you with an amazing holiday.
