It also has a private patio with B.B.Q and garden furniture overlooking beautiful views. Papillon is situated in a very peaceful location with rolling countryside. Situated 10 - 15 Mins from Mirambeau along the Estuary. B&B is also available in the cottage out of season.
Local Area DetailsThere are many walks in and around the village as well as 2 producers of Pineau & Cognac, fishing locally, cycling, donkey or horseriding, golf and in Jonzac there is an in/outdoor swimming pool complex plus beauty room, sauna & weight room.
10 mins away there is Moulin de Sap where you can take one of the pedaloes/canoes down the river and after that relax with a beer & in the evening there is entertainment and a B.B.Q or a restaurant if you prefer.
The first beach is Mescher where there is a bar/restaurant. Sea fishing in Royan and many lovely seafood restaurants aswell.
Cognac about 40 mins away there are the distilleries of Remy, Martell etc. Worth a visit.
Of course, there are all the local Charentaise wines to try but just 10 Minutes down the road you enter into the department of the Gironde where there are the Cotes de Blaye and Bordeaux wines to try & buy.
