The villa has a winding private drive up from the road leading past Vall d'Or golf course and is perched on top of the hill with the most glorious of views down towards the sea and across to the monastery of San Salvador. The villa's main entrance is from the front terrace leading through to a lofty, tiled reception and to the left is an archway through to a modern kitchen and to a WC. To the right of the entrance hall is the lounge with patio doors to the terrace. An arch from the lounge leads through to a large bathroom with a dressing area, separate shower and corner bath. Off the main hallway is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and patio doors to the terrace, a twin bedded room and a further full bathroom. The upstairs landing provides space for an extra bed (if preferred this can be placed in the lounge) and a door from here leads out onto two large terraces. Outside, there is a lawned garden and the spectacular pool and barbecue are built onto a hillside terrace with plenty of space for sunbathing at a lower level down a flight of steps.

A truly remarkable location and a very lovely, modern house with magnificent views. The barbecue area provides a setting for an al fresco meal which, we believe, would be difficult to better.

Local Area Details

The beautiful South East Coast, from Porto Cristo to Cala Santanyi, is almost entirely composed of tiny, sheltered cove beaches and Cala d'Or has grown around some of the prettiest of these. There are still others to find nearby such as Cala Mondrago and S'Amarador which are virtually untouched by development. The Cala d'Or area is not new to tourism but has retained an attractive and well cared for holiday atmosphere. The paved, pedestrianised streets in the centre of Cala d'Or are brimming with lively, shops, good restaurants and pavement cafes. There is also a sophisticated marina with fabulous yachts and many excellent restaurants. Further inland are towns and villages which also have their charms. Calonge, is pretty, with many art and craft shops hidden away in its tiny streets.
