Property Details
This pretty villa with tiled floors throughout and timber ceilings and shutters, has a covered veranda with a large built-in barbecue and bar area ideal for big families or groups of friends. The villa is surrounded by its garden full of citrus and palm trees, roses and bougainvillaea. Villa Kefi is just two minutes walk to an uncrowded, safe sand and pebble beach, great for children, or there are rocky coves good for snorkelling in the clear water.
If you just want to relax and soak up the sun and unhurried atmosphere, there is no need to hire a car. The quiet, friendly village of Chrani is only 30 minutes by taxi or about 45 minutes by bus from Kalamata airport and there are three mini-markets, a couple of kafenions and 6 or 7 excellent local restaurants within a few minutes walk.
Local Area DetailsThe Peloponnese is a treasure trove of fascinating places to visit. The sites of Ancient Greece abound, the nearest being Ancient Messini, the birthplace of Zeus, with its Doric temple, amphitheatres and athletics stadium. Just past the beautiful Venetian town of Koroni, about 15 minutes drive from Chrani, is Zaga Beach, the best beach in the Peloponnese where turtles nest. A little further round the coast is Methoni with its spectacular fortress, while Pylos, scene of the Battle of Navarrino, boasts two fortresses, one Venetian and one Turkish. North of Pylos is a lagoon which is a wonderful spot for bird-watching.
Local activities include swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, hiking, cycling and horseriding.

A 15% deposit is payable at the time of booking. A full refund of this deposit will be given is cancellation is made within 21 days of booking. Otherwise no refund will be given for any cancellation. The balance of the holiday price is payable six weeks before the departure date. If a booking is made within six weeks of departure date the total holiday price is payable on booking and no refund will be made for cancellation. |
