TY Andro is Centrally located in the village of GUENIN, only 1 minute walk to Bakers, Butchers and Celtic Bars. It sleeps 12 in three double bedrooms and three twin bedrooms, all have en suite Bathrooms. A fully equipped spacious kitchen, Breton style diner and living area with open log fire. Bed linen is included in the price. Garden/BBQ/pool furniture provided. Open all year, B&B out of season.
Local Area DetailsGuénin is a 5 minute drive from the market town of Baud where you can find a good selection of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. In Guenin itself, you are close by to Bakers, Butchers and the lively Celtic bar, "Andro Kafe". A full list of restaurants in Baud are provided in the information book, inside Ty Andro.
The area has an enormous variety of interesting places to visit whether you are interested in sporting activities, local history or simply relaxing on our beautiful beaches. The stunning Atlantic coastline boasts many of the cleanest beaches in Europe with long sandy bays and secluded coves. If you enjoy taking a peak back into history you might like to visit Poul Fétan. It is a traditional Breton village dating back to medieval times, residents act out daily traditional crafts in historic costume.
Southern Brittany is rich in archaeological sites and is home to the world famous standing stones of Carnac, just 30 minutes away. The region has many forests including the beautiful and legendary Brocéliande, where according to French tradition, King Arthur is supposed to have lived with his knights of the round table. A 20 minute drive will take you to the Château du Josselin set in the heart of a medieval town with its lovely gardens, dry moat and elevated towers.
If you like art, 50 minutes drive will take you to Pont Aven, home to many of the impressionists. The town hosts a wealth of art galleries showing the work of local and international artists carrying on the artistic tradition of the region. The Bretons are very proud of their culture and hold regular fêtes, festivals and pardons. Throughout the summer open air concerts are organised where Celtic music is featured with live bands and all are welcome including children, to take part in the Breton dancing which accompanies these fêtes.
