This is a brand new 4 bedroom home on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, construction and furnishing was completed in April 2005. Maximum number of guests is 10--this number is strictly controlled by the town of Kiawah and no more than 10 people are allowed. This is an allergy free home, no pets and no smoking allowed. Please do not contact us if you have more than 10 people or if any one smokes or wants to bring a pet.
The house is beautiful with all the best finishes and amenities. It is an arts and crafts style home which cost a million to build so it is very very nice. It has a walled courtyard with inground pool and inground hot tub, as well as a covered veranda. The first floor has a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, custom cabinets, a 2 burner Wolfe gas stove and Sub-Zero refrigerator. The great room has 11 foot coffered ceilings, wainscoating, and cherry floors. On the first floor there is also a master suite with large walk in shower, a powder room and a large screened in porch overlooking the pool. The second floor has 3 additional bedrooms and 2 full baths, as well as a den area for TV watching, reading or listening to music.
You will love this house. It is in the exclusive Vanderhorst Plantation section of Kiawah and is only .9 mile to Kiawah's beautiful 10 mile beach. Kiawah's beach is ranked among the top 10 in the country. You can walk or ride bikes to the beach. Or you can drive to several beach parking areas that have restrooms, food, nature center etc.
Kiawah also has 5 world class golf courses, including the Ocean Course. It is the number 1 tennis resort in the country. There are 20 miles of bike paths, a kids camp, a nature program, canoeing, kayaking, fishing etc. The five star Sanctuary hotel is also on Kiawah and there are a number of other good restaurants on the Island or 5 minutes off the Island. An upscale shopping area was built in 2005 just off the Island so you won't have to go far for groceries and other shopping. You can participate in any of the Kiawah Island Resort activities; they charge a reasonable fee for tennis, kids camp, nature programs, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Through our concierge, you can book golf at a 10% discount. You can also order bikes to be delivered and picked up for a reasonable fee.
