Local Area DetailsAn established and quiet residential location where one is not far from the small town but away from the bother of parking problems, busyness over the high season. Easy to get out into the countryside of Devon, 15 miles from Plymouth, 7 miles from Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Hope Cove, Shopping in Totnes. Close to many beautiful beaches reached either by walking distance from the ferries or by car to go further afield to Bantham etc. Salcombe is a beautiful sailing and fishing centre situated near the mouth of the estuary, with its maze of streets leading down to the delighful waterfront. Sailing is a great attraction, popular for all types of craft from dingies to schooners. Boats available for hire. An area of outstanding natural beauty which will appeal to walkers. National Trust land along the cliffs for wonderful coastal walking. CLose to Devon Shire Horse park, visit farms, numerous local attractions, including cream teas, delicious ice creams.
