Decisions do not come easy when staying at our Inn. However, a tasty full country breakfast is a wonderful start no matter the choice.

Located one hour south of San Francisco and thirty minutes north of Santa Cruz, at the edge of the coastal town of Pescadero, the Inn is a 100 year-old farmhouse containing three rooms, each with private bath and claw-foot tub, a parlor with a large fireplace and a two room cottage overlooking the creek and gardens. Downtown shops offering exotic clothing, locally made furniture and unique gifts are a short stroll away.

Duartes Tavern, a family owned business in operation since the mid-1800's offers fantastic artichoke and chile soups, homemade pies and it's renowned Crab Cioppino. The recent winner of the James Beard award 2003 American Classics Restaurant, people travel from miles around to enjoy the unique experience. Don't forget to try their excellent Bloody Mary.

Local Area Details

How you spend your day is limited only by your imagination and energy. Pescadero Beach and Marsh is just one of the many area beaches that offer excellent hiking opportunities.
Or if your mood is relaxation and contemplation, fresh and salt water fishing is available from shore or on one of the many local charter boats.
Local back roads offer the bicyclist an opportunity to explore the redwoods and local Pescadero farms. The less ambitious may drive through towering redwood forests visiting local restaurants or wine tasting.

Año Nuevo State Beach & Preserve is located 11 miles south of Pescadero. Be sure to stop and enjoy the many scenic beaches you pass along the way
Historic Pigeon Point Lighthouse is a wonderful place to stop either for a tour to the top of the lighthouse or just a stroll to the deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The tours and museum are open on weekends only.
Just a short way south of Ano Nuevo is Coastways Ranch operating in Pescadero since 1917. They have three U-PICK crops; Olallieberries in June, pumpkin and winter squash in October, and the kiwifruit and Christmas trees in November through January
Going north of Pescadero on Highway One, visit the wonderfully eclectic San Gregorio Store . With its wonderful assortment of country style kitchenware, overalls, books, and hats to a great Bloody Mary, there is something of interest for everyone. You may even decide to sit near the old potbellied stove and listen to live acoustic music on weekends, reading a book of your desire.
Just outside downtown Pescadero, Phipps Ranch offers a wide display of farm animals, old farm equipment, and perhaps the largest selection of heirloom beans you will ever see. U-pick organic strawberries and olallieberries are available in season.
