We would like to extend a very warm welcome to visitors to our new site and hope that you enjoy reading about our luxuriously restored 18th century farm house set in its own grounds of 15 acres of woodlands/meadows & lawns with private pool (12m x 6m non-fenced) & a barn of 350 m2
Le Basque has 4/5 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms one with Jacuzzi, Spacious Living Room, Dining Room, Country Kitchen/Breakfast Room. The house sleeps 8/10 and pets are welcome.
The house has Central Heating, Wood Burning Stove, "Paul Bouse" double oven gas/electric range and Sky TV.
Le Basque offers every luxury and total privacy and tranquillity within its own grounds. It has magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and rolling hills beyond. Situated between the beautiful medieval towns of Castillonnes & Villereal, Issigeac & Monflanquin all of which have their markets on different days. The house is full of character and has beamed ceilings throughout. There is every modern convenience including a "Paul Bouse" double oven gas/electric range & hobs, including a childproof computerised none-residual heat hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. There are 4 substantial double bedrooms one of which is a twin. In between the main bedroom and en-suite bathroom there is a large dressing room which has a bunk-bed for children.
There are both covered and uncovered terraces with an outside eating area and barbecue. The pool is salt rather than chloride and is maintained regularly. There are many fine walks to be taken either in the grounds or in the surrounding countryside.

Le Basque is some 25kms south of Bergerac and the Dordogne valley, situated between two typical French market towns, Castillonnes and Villereal.
The area is abundant in history with many castles and medieval towns - Sarlat, Monpazier and Monflanquin. Les Eyzies famous for its cave man dwellings and paintings and of course the many vineyards such as Monbazillac, St Emilion and Cahors. There are man made lakes with sandy beaches for swimming and watersports, golf at Castelnaud and Chateau Devigier, Horse Riding, tennis and canoeing on the Dordogne.
The local towns of Villereal and Castillonnes are both only around 5km away, offering all needs for your holiday - Supermarket, restaurants, bars, bakers, doctors, chemist, post office and banks along with a beautiful pottery, well worth a visit.
