The Property is a small 2 bed-roomed, gas centrally heated, terrace house built in 1987 and is fitted out to a high standard. The property enjoys partial views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island from the kitchen & bedroom windows. Every effort has been made to supply all that is required to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

GROUND FLOOR – There is a well-equipped kitchen, which includes an electric oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, iron, microwave and washing machine. The lounge/dining area has a folding dining table & four folding chairs, 2 x two seater Sofas, a 28� colour television with Digital Freeview package a video recorder & Hi Fi. A door leads from the lounge onto a small patio garden area. Unusually for these properties there is also a down stairs toilet and wash basin.

FIRST FLOOR – The upstairs bathroom has a new toilet, wash basin, shaver point and corner bath with shower. Both bedrooms are attractively decorated and the 2nd bedroom has views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. Bedroom 1 has a double bed while bedroom 2 is small, but has a 4-foot wide lower bed with a 3-foot wide bed overhead.

OUTSIDE – There is a small private paved patio area with table & chairs (accessed from lounge or rear gate). A reserved parking space is available located in a private area to the rear of the property, adjoining the patio. Unrestricted visitors parking can be found in a road at the rear of the property.

Mains connected smoke detectors have been fitted and a fire extinguisher is wall mounted in the kitchen. A cot, highchair and stair guard can be provided at no extra cost. Unfortunately we do not cater for pets or smokers.

Local Area Details

Penguin Cottage is a terraced house situated on a waterside development approximately 250 metres from the harbour/marina and only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The main Railway station and bus terminal are about 1 mile away, whilst the Lighthouse theatre is about 15 minutes walk.

In addition the house is only 100 metres from Baiter ‘recreational’ Park, within which are boat slip-ways, skate board/stunt bike park & cycle track. Poole Harbour is the combination of a modern new marina, bars and buildings alongside a traditional working fishing fleet with accompanying old pubs and restaurants. Whilst on the other side of the water is a fully working harbour with visiting trade vessels loading and unloading. The Sunseeker boat building yard can also be viewed, along with the associated launches being put through their paces. There is also an active cross channel ferry port for trips to France and the Channel Islands as well as local boat and fishing trips from the Quay side.

The Dorset and East Devon coast, known as the Jurassic Coast, is renowned for its unique geological features, including major fossil sites. Many walks are available and an early morning stroll along the waterfront should not be missed.
