Property Details

Originally a Charentaise farm, dating back to the 18th century, "LaVenmdange" now provides 4 clean and comfortable self-catering gites (farm cottages). We are located in a quiet corner of a sleepy rural village, less than 1hr drive from the coast.

On the property there is an enclosed, gated pool area with 10m pool, lawn, shade and sun terrace. There are also large gardens and a field for sports. We specialise in providing fun, relaxing holidays for families with young children, (seniors will also find our accomodation an ideal tranquil retreat, though outside school holidays !)

We have swings, a slide, sandpits, trampoline, hammock, paddling pools and shady areas for the children to play.

During the summer there are are usually plenty of children at the property and we like to organise games and activities in order to give the parents an opportunity to wind down and relax in the garden with a glass of wine (or local "pineau").

The cottages are carefully cleaned on the morning of your arrival and come well equipped (all have dishwashers, washing machines, and full gas ovens/hobs as standard ).

We are well established (no building work !) and only about 50mins drive from the nearest beach (Fouras, South of La Rochelle).

La Rochelle, Royan and Poitiers airports are all served by Ryanair from Stanstead airport and are all a little over 1 hours drive. St. Malo ferry port is 4.5 hrs.

We are within 1hr drive of all the attractions of Cognac, Saintes, St. Jean D'Angely, Angouleme, La Rochelle and the Charentaise beaches.
