Mackay's Cottage is one of two renovated holiday cottages available for holiday rent on the south west corner of Tiree. The self catering cottage, situated at Balephuil, is a recently renovated Tiree 'black house' and is situated amongst beautiful and unspoilt surroundings.The cottage has a two star self catering quality assurance rating from the Scottish Tourist Board. The cottage sleeps 5 to 6 persons. For larger groups Skerryvore Chalet next door can also be rented. This 34 sq m open plan studio caters for 2 to 4 persons.
The holiday cottage is only 40 metres from the sea.

Tiree is famous for its beaches and Balephuil Bay which has a mile long sandy beach, is only a few minutes walk away from the cottage.

Living room - Mackays Cottage living room has a comfortable and rustic feel. The rendered stone walls are painted white and the pine ceiling has open rafters. There is a leather 3 piece suite, a TV and video player with a small selection of videos. There is amini hi-fi with CD player, radio and tape player. Heating is by storage heaters and a very efficient multi fuel stove type room heater.
Kitchen - The kitchen is equipped with slot in oven with ceramic hob, a microwave, toaster, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen and dining area and living room are all open plan.

Bedrooms - there are two bedrooms, one has a double bed and a single and the other has two single beds. There is is small cabin style area off the landing which contains a single bed. Duvets and pillows are provided, you are asked to bring your own sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases.
