Property Details
Old Swan Cottage is part of an 18th century former public house. A pub has been on this site since 1650. The cottage has been tastefully modernised and retains its cottage feeling. There are exposed beams and a fireplace with a log burner in the sitting room.
The cottage has a dining room with large table and 6 chairs. There is a south facing glazed hall, well fitted kitchen with many floor and wall cupboards, all neccessary utencils, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The spacious sitting room has two sofas, armchair, TV. video, CD/radio, and coffee table. There is one bedroom on the ground floor, with twin beds and optional interior sprung sofa bed. There is an abundance of storage space. The bathroom is also on the ground floor, and has a shower over the bath. The second double bedroom is upstairs, and is a beautiful room with exposed beams, and dormer windows.
There is plenty of off road parking, and a large enclosed garden with barbeque and garden furniture.
Local Area DetailsGreat Massingham is a particularly beautiful village, with large greens and several ponds with ducks. There is shop/post office, and a number of good pubs within easy travelling distance. The internationally acclaimed North Norfolk coast is famous for its bird watching and beautiful sheltered, clean beaches. There are many historic houses and ancient sites to visit close by.
