Plas Dinas Luxury Country house is the former home of the Armstrong-Jones family and was once a popular retreat for Anthony Armstrong-Jones (Lord Snowdon) and his wife Princess Margaret when they were married in the 1960's.
Plas Dinas is a large country house that is spacious and yet despite its grandeur, retains a relaxed, homely and comfortable atmosphere. Standing in it's own magnificent grounds and gardens with outstanding views over the Snowdonia mountains, the Irish Sea, Anglesey and the Menai Straights, Plas Dinas luxury country house is perfect for getting away from it all.
This large country house still contains much of the original family furniture, memorabilia and portraits and the magnificent Drawing Room boasts a real log fire and a baby grand piano. You can take your meals in the elegant dining room or in the fabulous Gun Room with its huge 17th century fireplace and an array of hunting memorabilia and antique guns.
There is a fine collection of CD's, books and board games and one of the bedrooms has been created with children in mind, containing TV, video, DVD player and Playstation One. Plas Dinas may be a large, luxury country house, but we welcome all visitors, their children and well behaved pets.
There is a local village pub within ten minutes walk and large supermarkets within 5 minutes drive. Bed linen, towels, table linen, electricity, coal, gas, logs, dishcloths, tea towels and basic cleaning equipment are all included.
We also have 4 spare Z_BEDS, a travel cot and a high chair. Many of our clients return year after year to what must surely be one of the most prestigious self-catering venues in the UK.

| Terms and conditions of booking
To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of £250 will be required at the time of booking. This can be paid by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Cheques made payable to Mr. S. Groom and posted to: Plas Dinas Country House, Bontnewydd, Caernarfon, LL54 7YF, WALES
50% of the balance will be required 8 weeks before your arrival date. The remainder of the balance plus a fully refundable security/damage deposit of £500 is required 4 weeks before your arrival date.
The security/damage deposit is fully refundable on completion of a satisfactory check of the property after check-out. This check will take into account any cleaning requirements that the house may have as a result of your stay, so it is important that you leave the house in the same condition as you find it when you check in.The security deposit will be posted back to you or credited back to your debit or credit card upon completion of these checks and satisfactory reports from the housekeeper and laundry company.
All payments other than the security deposit, once made, are non-refundable. We recommend that you take out a suitable cancellation insurance policy in case of unforeseen events that might spoil your holiday
