Property Details
A group of six self catering cottages in a very rural location. Ideal for families with young children. We have a large garden with swings and sand pit and an enclosed outdoor swimming pool. Sip a glass of the locally produced Pineau sitting on your terrace whilst watching your children make new friends. All the cottages have a terrace front and rear with garden furniture and barbecue. The cottages inside are open plan downstairs with lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The kitchens are equipped with all basic facilities, some have dishwashers and there is a communal 'games'room which has washing machines and dryer. Most cottages have a double and two twin room configuration. The bathrooms are modern and equipped with both bath and shower facility. There is always loads of hot water and good water pressure. We are on site to tend to the gardens and pool, to answer any questions, recommend places to visit and local restaurants. We also offer a babysitting service and wine tastings, vine walks and chai visits which sets us apart from other sites.
Local Area DetailsThe immediate area is ideal for walking and cycling with children, the country lanes are extremely quiet. The countryside is gently rolling and the fields are filled with wheat, maize and sunflowers when in season. The local town is St Jean d'Angely and is just a 10 min drive. It has all major facilities such as banks, supermarkets, a twice weekly market and a good selection of restaurants. Cognac and its world famous produce is just 30 mins, as is Saintes and its roman ruins. The coast and beaches are just 1 hrs drive. There is loads to do for young and old alike, one of the reasons many of our guests return year after year. We have our own web site with loads of photos and information - just ask for details.
