Eastmere is a self-contained timber bungalow annex with its own front door.There is off-road parking for two cars. It is situated in a quiet area in a country lane that runs between Eastergate and Walberton. It is near the Downs - between Arundel and Chichester, 6 miles north of Bognor and 22 miles from Brighton.

Eastmere is well decorated, furnished and fully equipped. The living room has a settee, easy chairs, dining table and chairs, cool-air fan, colour TV and video recorder. In the kitchen there is a wide range of utensils, new cupboards and work surfaces, stainless steel sink, a 4 cu.ft. refrigerator, separate 2 cu.ft. freezer, microwave, Creda electric cooker, automatic washing machine and access to a tumble dryer.

The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, hand basin and WC. The cylinder cupboard contains a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.

There are five electric heaters, if needed, three of which are thermostatically controlled. There are also two fans for cooling and a payphone. Electricity is included in the price quoted. We are sorry, but we cannot accept pets and stipulate "no smoking" in the bungalow. Bed linen, pillows, duvets and towels are provided.

Children are welcome. There is a west-facing area with bench seat and access to garden seating and table. A wide gate with netting securing this gravelled area - making it safe for young children. We can supply a cot with mattress and a high chair.

Just to the east your neighbours are the owners, Bernard and Jean. Neighbours, some distance to the west, are 16 race horses in well-tended stables. Stable staff may be seen working and riding.

The accommodation is suitable for handicapped or elderly people who can manage a 3 inch (8cm) step and standard width doors within the bungalow. Outside the ground is level.

Local Area Details

There are numerous places to visit. Families have recommended the West Beach at Littlehampton and West Wittering.
A major attraction is Arundel with its Antique shops, Tea shops and Castle. There are a variety of gardens with extensive lawns for children to run - Parham, West Dean, Uppark etc. We are close to Chichester, Goodwood house and race courses, also Fishbourne Roman Palace and Bignor Roman Villa. Many of our guests visit the Victory, Mary Rose and other ships at Portsmouth

We are surrounded by numerous country pubs of character. These offer excellent value and quality lunch and evening meals
