A very cosy holiday home with old oak ceiling beams and comfortable setting. Corner kitchen, cooker, fridge, toaster etc ( no dish washer or washing machine). Double bed, single bed chair ( Parker knoll - very comfy ). French t.v. and uk video and hi fi. bathroom / toilet and walk in wardrobe. Our studio is inthe very heart of St Catherines, probably the oldest quarter of Honfleur. 10 seconds form the boulangerie and 12 seconds form the ancient Saturday morning market. All electricicity, heating, hot water etc is included in the price. Local Area Details

Just around the corner form all that Honfleur has to offer. 2 minutes walk to the famous old quayside, 20 seconds to the nearest good quality restaurant ( of which there are about 130 in Honfleur! ). In the area there is: the Normandy landing beaches, Monets garden, Sandy bathing beaches of Deauville and Trouville, Etretat,and Fecamp ( Benedictine distilliary). In Honfleur,loads of art shops, antique shops and bric a brac places, curiosity shops and art galleries, cafes etc. The Honfleur fishing fleet is active and animportant part of the local economy. They also make sure that the fish you eat in the restaurants is fresh. During the summer you can sit out around the old inner harbour and enjoy your meal as the restaurants there spill out onto the pavements and streets. Go karts, pedaloes, swimming pool, riverside walk, lovely municipal gardens with coll shady areas and water features. The Impressionists strated their new way of waoring in Honfleur and the Eugene Boudin museum holds many treaures and is a must to visit along with three other Honfleur museums depicting Honfleur histoire. You will not be bored in the jewel in Normandy's crown........but if you tire of any of it grab a baguette, a bottle wine and go and sit on the harbour steps and watch the world go by, fascinating.MOst weeks there is a festival or celebration of csome sort, winding its way through the streets and adding to your photographic opportunities. Take a roll of black and white or switch to B+W mode al la digital ( numeric ) and capture those old half timebered buildings in the setting of their old cobbled streets.
