This village house is said to date back to the 18th century. Its architecture and interior decor reflect the simplicity and charm of an authentic 'pueblo blanco' property, typical of Andalucian white village houses. It is built into the mountain with rooms on different levels. From the house and terrace there are beautiful views of Casares and the surrounding mountains with spectacular sunsets and stunning bird life.

Details: From the front door you enter the dining room with two steps on the left leading up to a country kitchen and five steps on the right leading down to the sitting room with open log fireplace. From the sitting room a staircase leads to the first level landing with single bed. To the right a staircase leads to a beamed double bedroom and straight ahead leads to a small study, shower/wc room, a beamed double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and doors leading to the terrace. The first small terrace leads up an open stairway to the large upper terrace.

There is vehicular access to the house but no parking on the street itself. Parking is available on the main road above the street.

Due to the hilly terrain of the village and the steep stairways of the house and terraces, this rental is not recommended for young children or the very elderly.

Amenities: Satellite TV and VCR in the upper bedroom, CD player and radio in the dining room, washing machine and dryer. Linen, towels and cooking utensils provided.
Welcome pack of coffee, tea, sugar, milk, wine, bread, cheese, etc. provided.

Local Area Details

Casares is a small village approximately 13km inland from the Costa del Sol. The local activities include hiking, birdwatching, horseback riding and exploring the picturesque villages and cities of the region by car. There is a large public swimming pool in the village (open 20 June to 20 Sept).
