Guests who stay in The Coach Yard have the option of having breakfast in the main house if they wish - at extra charge

Local Area Details

Guests may relax and enjoy the lovely gardens at Blanchville House or for those who prefer to be more active, the Hard Tennis Court and Billiard & Games Room are available.

There are also numerous activities to enjoy, within easy distance of Blanchville House, such as Golf, Horse Racing, Fishing, Shooting, Walking as well as a host outlets offering Handmade Irish Crafts.

In fact at Blanchville you can chose to be as relaxed or active as you wish and we are always at hand to guide or advise you in whatever way we can.


Horse Racing
Gowran Park Race Course, just 5 miles from Blanchville has frequent meetings and offers both National Hunt, hurdles and flat racing.

Equestrian Centres
We have three very good Equestrian Centres in Kilkenny:
Top Flight Equestrian Centre - 8kms
Wallslough Equestrian Centre - 8kms
Mount Juliet Equestrian Centre, Thomastown - 15kms

Fishing
Salmon Angling, Fly Fishing and Coarse Fishing are all available locally with Inchbeg Fishing School offering tuition in both fly and coarse fishing if required. The 2.5 acre Brandon Lake Coarse Fishery has been specifically designed for all year round coarse fishing with equipment/tackle, bait and guides available for hire.

Shooting
Kilkenny Countryside Leisure offers a year round range of activities including clay pigeon shooting, indoor rifle target practice, quad motor bike riding and archery.

Walking
A signposted walk has been established on Brandon Hill, Graiguenamanagh and there are several local walking clubs who welcome visitors on informal walks in the area.

Good Food
Guests may partake of dinner at Blanchville House, by prior arrangement or we will be happy to advise you on some of the wonderful restaurants just a few minutes drive away. Kilkenny has become a gourmet centre for the discerning eater with a superb choice of restaurants providing for a variety of tastes and palates.
