Local Area Details

In this area are some long stretches of sandy beach. The nearest one - which has refreshment facilities in the summer months - is a 15 minute drive away. About half an hour away are beaches attached to the towns of Denia, Javea, Altea and Calpe Dramatic mountain scenery running down to white sandy beaches, blue skies, pink and grey rock, lots of wild flowers and shrubs (oleander, cystus, bouganvillea and herbs (rosemary, thyme etc.). Valleys full of orange and lemon trees, almonds, cherries, olives. Bodegas with local wine and food. Fiestas in abundance , all accompanied with much parading of costumes and bands around the towns and villages, giant paella making, local food, wine and of course - fireworks, done as only the Spanish know how Lots of opportunity for the golfer, including nearby courses at la Sella and Oliva Nova (designed by Sevriano Ballesteros). Other nearby activities include horse riding. karting and zoo, watersports (scuba diving, windsurfing, sailing). 1 hour from Terra Mittica theme park (Europe's biggest), Safari Park, Water parks (Aqualandia and Mundomar) Plenty to see in Valencia – including the biggest recreational & cultural project in the European Community Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias which incorporates four structures; the hands-on Science Museum,; L'Oceanografic, containing sea habitats including tropical oceans and icy Antarctic waters, the Arts Palace, and , L'Hemisferic, opened in 1998 which includes an IMAX theatre, planetarium and laserdrome.
