Two traditional warm stone cottages ( Four Stars : sleeps 4) close to quiet Calderdale village with two acres of woodland heather garden and direct access to open countryside and footpaths. Our two cottages are available all year, and we can promise you a friendly personal welcome.

Local Area DetailsCherry Tree House and Cottages are located in a quiet rural Calderdale village, in the heart of Pennine Yorkshire, close to Halifax.
We are in a good central location, with easy access, and are ideally situated for exploring Bronte Country and the historic towns and moorland scenery of the South Pennines, recently recognised as a Heritage Area of special landscape value. The Yorkshire Dales and major tourist attractions of Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance.

Additional InformationAbout WalkingWe have direct access from our field and garden to open countryside and a network of footpaths. The Calderdale Way long distance path is within 800m of the cottage. As we are keen walkers and cyclists ourseleves, we can offer advice on local routes. There is a selection of local maps and guidebooks in the cottage.
About Local RestaurantsThere are many local pubs serving good food, some within walking distance. We can also recommend a select number of restaurants within 15 minutes of the cottage with excellent chef, offering a memorable evening out or for a special occasion.
About Airport InformationWe are located about one hour by motorway from Manchester International Airport. There is a direct rail link to Huddersfield, which is fifteen minutes from the cottage. We offer to meet visitors from the train.
About Children ActivitiesWe have two acres of wild woodland/heather garden. Children will find the whole garden adventurous with rope swing and rocks to climb. The Eureka Children's Museum in Halifax is 15 minutes from the cottage.
