Property Details
Gironde style farmhouse with plenty of period features; stone walls, beams woodburners but with modern day comforts! Our beds do not sag!
The accommodation consists of 2 double rooms and a twin room, however, only more than 1 room is ever rented out if a group of friends are travelling together or a family group, as there is 1 bathroom. Guest have use of the 16 x 14m swimming pool, which is alarmed for childrens safety.
The Farmhouse is surrounded by our fruit tree filled garden and vineyards. One bedroom has a balcony terrace for enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. There are views across the forests and valley from this.
Breakfast is served whenever you want it, so there is no having to get up for 8am...We serve a continental breakfast with homemade jams and our own fresh fruit. Guests have access to a fridge, coffee maker, kettle and toaster as well as a BBQ.

Additional InformationAbout HistoryMontcaret was founded by the Romans and there is a small museum in the village displaying the mosaic found in the local churchyard. We even have our own roman stone bench!
The area is surrounded by hill top bastide towns where the Hundred Years War was fought with the English. The last battle is re-enacted every summer at the nearby town of Castillon.
