A tasteful barn-conversion, created from a stone outbuildings dating back to the 1600’s. A wealth of charm awaits you ... with original beams, low ceilings(!), a magnificent log-burning stove and tasteful decor and soft furnishings. A real home-from-home.
The relaxing lounge is very comfortably & tastefully furnished and has a traditional wood-burning stove that will warm even the coldest of evenings.
The open-plan kitchen/dining area is well equipped to make catering during your holiday as easy as possible.
A shower room/toilet is also located on the ground floor.
Accessed via a charming spiral staircase are the two bedrooms; one double and one twin. Warm, comfortable and cosy - affording a perfect restful sleep to weary guests after an exhilarating day’s riding!
We provide all bed linen, towels, logs for the fire, and on request can offer a ‘Welcome-Hamper’ service so that you can spend your whole holiday enjoying rather than essentials-shopping! We also have a laundry room for communal use.
Local Area DetailsThe Beacons of south mid-Wales are a wonderful spectacle in their own right. The breathtaking views and scenery make them a great place to enjoy walking, climbing, horse-riding, or indeed just relaxing in the most tranquil of surroundings.
Gilfach Farm is adjacent to the northern edge of the National Park, just outside of the village of Sennybridge. Although easily accessible from the A40 that runs through the National Park, Gilfach Farm is hidden away within a small valley that leads onto the roaming commons of the Beacons. The 60 acre farm is typical of many upland farms of the area. Having never been intensively farmed, Gilfach has a natural environment, such as extensive native mixed woodlands, crystal-clear babbling brooks, wild-flower meadows, bluebell woodlands and wetland areas. The farm is home to a small number of horses belonging to the owners of Gilfach, and an abundance of wildlife!
