Property Details
Our modernised home (C/H,D/G)in the heart of the village, offers comfort within a 200yr old house. It is complimented by a delightful shaded terrace at the front of the house (perfect for relaxing with a book) with garden furniture and a BBQ. The private rear garden has an above-ground splash pool, outdoor table tennis + equipment, vine-clad pergola and outdoor furniture. The grenier has table football & a darts board.There is also a garage. The house offers four bedrooms (3 doubles and a twin), a kitchen/diner and a lounge with log burning fire, leading to the terrace. There is a first floor bathroom and ground floor shower room. The house is well-appointed, offering TV (French and English terrestrial channels), DVD, music system, gas cooker, microwave, FF, washing machine and dishwasher. Bed linen is provided, and indoor towels (bath & hand towel) are available at £5 pp pw. A baby/toddler package of travel cot(with bedlinen), safety stairgate, push chair (reclining), high chair, booster seat attachment & loo trainer seat, melamine crockery & mini table + chairs, is available for £25 per stay. Bicycles are available at £5 pp per day. Please note that this is a non-smoking house and we are unfortunately unable to accomodate pets.
Local Area DetailsVilledubert is a small tranquil village in the heart of vineyards on the Aude plain and close to the World Heritage Canal du Midi (as seen recently on Rick Stein's "French Odyssey", making cycling and walking a comfortable and pleasurable experience. There are the Montagnes Noires to the north and the Corbieres Hills to the south, with the Pyrenees beyond. Transport links are excellent with flights to Carcassonne and Toulouse. Rail and motorways provide access from ports, to the coast, the Pyrenees and Spain. There is a daily bread delivery to the house. The small town of Trebes (3kms through the vineyards) has restaurants on the Canal, banks and shops.
