Jason and Debbie Symonds and family look forward to welcoming to your stay in cottages in the grounds of our house in a secluded part of the Hoo peninsular.

Stable Cottages are set in twenty acre of secluded farm land with panoramic view of the Thames and open countryside. The cottages provide a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life but at the same time are situated close to the M2, M20 and M25. Dover is also only an hour away for all the ports and Le Shuttle.

We are close to Rochester which has a Castle, Cathedral, Museum and High Street, and an hours drive will take you to many more gardens and National Trust properties or the coast. Canterbury being 45 minutes away and London an hour.

Each of the four star Toursist Board approved oak beamed cottages comprise of two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other including bunk beds (single or double), fully fitted kitchen equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. Fully tiled bathroom with shower over bath and ample cupboard space. The lounge-diner has a three piece suite and a dining table with room for six guests. We take great pride in keeping the cottages spotlessly clean.

There is a shared utility room with two washing machines, tumble drier, steam generator iron , ironing board, vacuum cleaner, clothes-airer and sewing kit. Also a selection of games and puzzles.
We have electric gates for extra security and there is ample parking for cars.

All bedding linen and towels are included in the price and changed weekly as required. East cottage has a hair dryer, colour television, video and dvd player. We do have a travel cot and this needs to be requested on booking.

All cottages are central heated and double glazing and all costs are included in the price except the utility room which is on a separate meter and very economical.

If you like walking we have many footpaths through the countryside and also the Saxon Shore Way. The RSPB reserve is just around the corner in High Halstow including the largest Heronry in Europe. We do provide a selection of Wellington boots for people to borrow.

We have garden furniture and a barbeque for people to enjoy during the summer months and a range of toys for children. There is plenty of room for children to run around and it is very safe.

We do allow dogs by prior arrangement but we do ask that they are kept on a lead and also not allowed in the bedrooms.

We also have fields and stables for horses for anyone wishing to bring their horses. Obviously this needs to be booked at the time of booking.
