On the banks of The Taw River The Cottages have been expertly converted from an original Coach House to provide four luxury self-contained cottages, all of which are individual in their style.

In each Cottage upstairs, there is a large double height double bedroom with superb exposed beams, with the bathroom en-suite. Downstairs the large dining room / lounge offers a very spacious area to relax, with french doors leading to the patio. Tamar has ‘link’ beds should you prefer single beds.

The wood-burning stove will give you plenty of heat and the creature comfort of central heating is also at your fingertips. A galley kitchen is fully equipped and you will find that the majority of furnishing are hand chosen antiques and unique in their style, as is each cottage.

Local Area Details

Deep in rural Devon, in a lovely riverside setting, Hayrish Farm enjoys a beautifully peaceful location just 10 minutes drive from glorious Dartmoor and only 30 minutes drive from the cathedral city of Exeter a wonderfully relaxing base for a holiday.

The setting is a 186-acre beef and game farm with a pedigree Aberdeen Angus herd. There is fly fishing on a private lake. Salmon, sea Trout and brown Trout fishing can also be enjoyed on our own beats of the River Taw at Umberleigh. Game and clay pigeon shooting, (inc. simulated game) and archery are available on the farm and also at our 500 acre Dowland estate.

Horse riding lessons can be arranged nearby, but for those who prefer more leisurely exercise, there are extensive footpaths to explore unspoilt countryside.

Hayrish offers a range of luxury holiday accommodation, which has been extensively refurbished to provide very attractive properties full of charm and character. They include a converted Coach House with 4 Cottages and a very spacious thatched farm house, which is a listed 16th century traditional Devon Longhouse.
