Property Details
La Bihourderie was once the home of the Bohor family who trained knights at jousting tournaments in the middle ages. La Bihourderie is la long farmhouse typical of the Touraine region and is draped in ivy and full of character. The tidy front courtyard abounds with beautifully tendered, colourful flower gardens. There is a seperate section of the house for guests. Each bedromm is named after works of art by Van Gogh. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and great care has been taken in creating a welcome and peaceful environment. The house is surrounded by fields. Crops alternate with each year from wheat to sunflowers.
Local Area DetailsLa Bihourderie is perfectly situated close to many of the Chateaux. Chenonceau,Amboise,Azay le Rideau and Villandry are only a few kms away.
Touraine is known as the "garden of France" and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
